Pull-Down Rig

Nelson Engineered Performance utilizes a DSS-3 pull-down rig manufactured by DRP Performance. With the DSS-3, we are able to move your car to specific on-track positions. This gives you a more accurate picture of how your car will behave on the track. The pull-down rig is extremely useful for developing different setups, adjustment plans, as well as locating and fixing binds. This is offered as a fully mobile service, we travel to you! This gives you the luxury of working within the privacy of your own shop with your own team, tools, and parts.

The pull-down rig is not magic. However, when proper time and care are put forth during testing, the pull-down rig will vastly increase your knowledge of how your car races. Nelson Engineered Performance has completed the necessary training to ensure repeatable tests and accurate results. With the pull-down rig, teams can take the guesswork out of racing and further enjoy their nights at the track.

Data Acquisition and Analysis

Nelson Engineered Performance utilizes a DRP 4+ WiFi system manufactured by DRP Performance Products. With this system, we can track a number of variables under actual driving conditions during on track test sessions. For example, a common list of variables we track during a dirt late model or modified session would likely include RF shock travel, RR shock travel, 5th coil/pull-bar travel, and LR droop limiter load. We can also track and compare different laps during the session to analyze any setup adjustments or changing track conditions.

Nelson Engineered Performance is properly trained to help you with any data acquisition and analysis needs you may have. We provide professional installation and analysis to every client and can service almost any vehicle in any discipline. This service can be used as a stand alone or in conjunction with our pull-down service. With data available, we are able to even further dial in your setup on the pull-down rig. This is a truly valuable tool for your race team.

Spring and Torque Link Setup

Nelson Engineered Performance utilizes a Spring-Pro Elite Series Smasher from Boydbilt Fabrication. We can assist you with almost any spring setup/build you may need. Possible builds include stacked spring setups, bump stop timing, load settings, adjustments for changing track conditions, pull bar timing, pull bar rebuilds, 5th coil timing, etc.

While not as in depth as a pull-down session, time on the spring smasher will certainly help you better understand your car. This machine can be used in conjunction with the pull-down rig or on its own. Teams can simply ship their spring/coilover/pull-bar to Nelson Engineered and we will work quickly and efficiently to get the setup you need before your next race.

Racing Simulator Rental

Simulation racing, often referred to as sim racing, has emerged as a valuable tool for professional and amateur racing drivers alike to enhance their on-track performance. At Nelson Engineered Performance, we are equipped with professional level sim tools such as a Fanatec direct drive wheel, Trak Racer 80/20 sim rig, Heusinkveld Sprint pedals, and Oculus virtual reality. In addition to being able to travel to your shop, our rig can be fitted for your seat and wheel for total immersion during your rental session.
